Caroline Erwin Mladenka, MPA
Caroline E. Mladenka, MPA, a Shreveport native, resides in Baton Rouge where she is Manager and Principal of the allied governmental relations firm, Local Government Strategists, LLC, and is a registered lobbyist. Her current and former clients include local governments and various lobbyists and governmental relations firms.
Caroline holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business, following a BA in Communication Studies from LSU. Her education and experience (including experience with government at the federal, state, and local levels, plus strategic crisis communications with the BP Oil Spill) provide a unique understanding of and ability to navigate the many variables, including citizen input, that affect the course of decision making in the field of local government law. Her drafting and implementation expertise includes both zoning ordinances and subdivision development restrictive covenants.
She is a recipient of the “Top 40 under 40” award for young professionals by the Shreveport-Bossier Chambers of Commerce. Caroline is past Chair-Elect of the Young Professional Initiative (YPI) of Shreveport-Bossier. Caroline resides in Baton Rouge with her husband, Paul A. Mladenka (owner of Cou-Yon’s Barbeque and Catering Company, Port Allen, and Cork’s Cajun Fried Fish and Shrimp), and their children, Mae-Frances and Henry.
